Generation Stupid!
I am sure growing up our parents were being told by their parents, " Your generation sure is something!" I remember mine saying it to me. I have to say this new generation of kids literally has me scared out of my mind. A generation where technology rules everything, kids glued to their phones, to their devices, not making real friends because oh yeah, Facebook and Instagram gives them so many Followers. It really is sad. It is even spreading to the adults who can't go probably 5 minutes and not check their phone for messages or their FB accounts.
Another fade is these Internet trends from ice bucket challenge, to eating Tide Pods, to now the Kiki challenge, jumping out of cars and being careless. It is ridiculous how on earth we got to this people? There has to be more people out there that have that same question. Goodness knows there are plenty of other idiotic challenges or trends people are making or doing as we speak. It is sad though that just like sheep ,these children are being led astray from making better choices and doing more productive things then putting themselves in predicaments they really could have avoided. Remember Pokémon Go? So many people too concerned with losing a chance to catch a make believe character and not watching that they are about to fall into a hole. Or doing the Kiki challenge and getting hit by an oncoming car! It is appalling that these events are actually occurring.
Sadly, we have become a generation of idiots, rather Google everything, instead of picking up a book. Communication has gotten lazy as well. I am willing to bet the new generation of children will not know the feeling of getting a letter in the mail addressed to them, or the joys of writing one to a friend. A smart phone has replaced basic communication. It is easier to make friends on social media then actually going out and meeting people. Somehow we've lost our way. It is scary to think that this is the generation that will be taking over the world one day. Hopefully, there are enough people out there to actually care and will try and prove this generation wrong and are willing to make a difference. That is what we need, Hope.
